Polytechnic admission results published

Admission results for the 114 technical institutions have been published for the 2016-17 academic year.

Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid announced the results at a press conference on Sunday.

The results can be found from the vocational education board website (www.techedu.gov.bd <http://www.techedu.gov.bd>).

Students on merit list can get admission till 30 June beginning from today, and classes will start on 16 August.

Students on waiting lists will be called for admission from 2 to 24 July. 

A total of 57,780 students will be admitted in 49 government polytechnic institutes, 64 technical schools and colleges in two shifts. As many as 1,65,177 students applied for admission.

Non-government technical institutes will receive application till 30 June, the education minister said.
