Dipu Moni assures problems of SUST students to be solved

Education minister Dipu Moni on Wednesday said she wants to resolve the problems of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) students through discussions.

However, she said removal of the vice-chancellor (VC) is a different process. If a VC is removed, another will take charge. But if the students’ problems remain, then they will not be benefitted. So, the problems will be settled, she added.

The minister came up with these remarks at a press briefing on Wednesday evening over the situation of SUST at her official residence at Hare Road in Dhaka.

She said she is ready for talks with the demonstrating students to resolve their problems.
