Bangladesh declares general holiday from 26 March to 4 April

The government has declared general holiday from 26 March to 4 April to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Cabinet secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam made the announcement at a press conference at the secretariat on Monday.

Besides, the members of army will remain in the field from Tuesday to help the civil admiration maintain social distancing and strengthen the coronavirus preventive measures.

However, kitchen market, hospitals and pharmacies will remain open as usual, Khandker Anwarul Islam said.
