Eid joy in frames

Eid-ul-Azha, one of the largest religious festivals of the Muslims, is being celebrated amid much festivity and religious fervour all over the capital on Monday.

The main thoroughfares of Dhaka city were decorated with the national flag and banners inscribed with 'Eid Mubarak' in Bangla and Arabic. Public buildings were illuminated on the occasion.

Jatiya Eidgah hosted the largest congregation of Eid-ul-Azha prayers in the morning while city corporation cleaners started clearing sacrificial animals' waste on Eid day.

The joy of Eid celebration has been marred as dengue outbreak has been continuing and 981 more patients admitted to Dhaka city hospitals in past 24 hours.
