2 Indians held with $29,600 at Benapole

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two Indians with $29,600 from the Benapole port area on Thursday, reports UNB.

A BGB team searched a ‘Shyamoli Paribahan’ bus at Amrakhali acting on a tip-off and arrested Rakesh Mandal with $25,000 in the morning, said BGB-49 commanding officer lieutenant colonel Selim Reza.

Rakesh, a resident of West Bengal, was involved with Hundi business, he added.

In a separate incident, BGB arrested another Indian national, Ashok Biswas, 29, of West Bengal, with $4,600 at Amrakhali at night
