Father, son missing in Chapainawabganj boat capsize

A man and his son went missing as their boat capsized while fishing in the Padma river in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj on Tuesday morning, reports UNB.

The victims are Sahabuddin, 52, and his son Abdullah, 19, of Dakkhinpaka village in the upazila.

Paka union parishad chairman Mojibur Rahman said the two were fishing in the river at Terorashia. Suddenly, their boat sank in the river around 9:00am due to strong currents.

Fire service deputy assistant director Saber Ali said a team of divers from Rajshahi launched a drive to rescue the mission people.
