Youth stabbed dead over cricket game

A young man was stabbed to death allegedly by his twin brother over a dispute centring a cricket match at Kadam Sahar village of Godagari upazila on Thursday.

The deceased was Md Shanta Ali, 25, son of Md Sadiqul Islam of the village.

Locals said the two siblings locked into a scuffle over the cricket game in the afternoon and at one stage, Md Swapan Ali stabbed his brother, leaving him severely injured.

Shanta died after being taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, said officer-in-charge of Godagari police station Khairul Islam.
