Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Sunday said there is no liquidity crisis in the country's banking system, adding that people's deposits are completely safe.
The central bank issued a circular in this regard on Sunday, claiming that false news instigating people to withdraw their deposits from the banks, is being spread on different social media platforms.
In the given circumstance, it is being informed that the banking system in Bangladesh is in a good state. There is no liquidity crisis, the BB added.
The circular further said no bank was shut in the 51 years of the country's independence and won't be either in the future.
