See photos by Bangladeshis lauded at Moscow International Foto Awards
Thirteen photographs by four Bangladeshi photographers have been commended in different categories in the Moscow International Foto Awards (MIFA) 2020.
Since 2014, MIFA has been organising this event to promote talented photographers from Russia and beyond.
Ali Ashraf Bhuiyan, a police officer by profession and a photographer by passion, won Silver in Advertising / Travel/Tourism (Non-Pro) category for his photograph titled 'Red Chillies Harvesting'.
Another of his photographs, 'Crossing The Jamuna River', won Honorable Mention in the same category, as did 'Birdseye View of Bangabandhu Bridge' and 'Crossing The Dead River Jamuna' in Architecture / Bridges (Non-Pro) and Editorial / Environmental (Non-Pro) categories respectively.
He is currently working as the Superintendent of Police in Bogra.
Pinu Rahman's photos ‘Childhood the Beautiful Station of Life’ and ‘Crowd Valley After Death’ won Honorable Mention in People / Children (Non-Pro) and Editorial / General News (Non-Pro) categories respectively. Pinu works for Rupali Bank as a senior principal officer.
Towhid Parvez Biplob's photo 'Pink Duck' also won Honorable Mention in Nature / Aerial (Non-Pro) category. Biplob, a businessman, is the founder of Bogra Photography Club.
Fahim Ahmed Riyad's photo series 'Covid-19 & Isolation Crisis' also won an honorable mention in Editorial / Photo Essay category.
