Ctg int’l trade fair begins Saturday

The month-long 26th Chittagong International Trade Fair (CITF) 2018 will kick off on Saturday at Railway Pologround in Chittagong city, according to UNB.

The inaugural ceremony of the event will be held at chamber auditorium of the World Trade Centre in Agrabad area, said Chittagong Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Mahbubul Alam at a press briefing on Thursday.

The fair, being hosted by Chittagong Chamber of Commerce Industry, will remain open for visitors from 10:00am to 10:00pm every day.

Shipping minister Shahjahan Khan, MP, will inaugurate the event as the chief guest while state minister for land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Javed, Chittagong City Corporation mayor AJM Nasir Uddin, lawmaker MA Latif and FBCCI first vice president Sheikh Fazle Fahim will be special guests.

Thailand, India, Iran and Mauritius along with some other countries will showcase their products in 450 stalls and pavilions. Thailand will join the fair as partner country for the 14th consecutive term.
