The ‘Digital Bangladesh Day’ is being celebrated across the country on Thursday with the theme ‘Verify the accuracy before sharing on the Internet’.

The Posts and Telecommunications Division has chalked out different programmes for this day, reports news agency UNB.

A colourful rally will be brought out from the National Press Club around 2:00pm which will end at the GPO intersection after parading through different streets.

Posts and telecommunications minister Mustafa Jabbar will address a seminar at the auditorium of the ministry as the chief guest.

Key streets of the capital have been decorated with festoons, banners and posters.

Earlier on 12 December 2017, the day was observed as National Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Day.

On 26 November last year, the cabinet renamed the day as ‘Digital Bangladesh Day’.
