Bangladesh sent to bowl first against India

Bangladesh women’s team has been asked to bat first by their India counterparts in their fourth match in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Bangladesh, fresh of their dominant 88-run victory over Malaysia, have made one change in their playing XI, dropping opener Shamima Sultana and bringing in middle-order batter Lata Mondal.

India, on the other hand, have made three changes to their XI after suffering a 13-run defeat against Pakistan on Friday.

India have dropped captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Radha Yadav and Dayalan Hemalatha and brought in Sneh Rana, Kiran Prabhu Navgire and Shafali Verma.

In Harmanpreet’s absence, Smriti is leading India.

India are currently at the top of the seven-team points-table with three wins in four games.

Hosts Bangladesh are fourth, with two wins and a defeat from three matches.
