Bangladeshi Nadia on Asia Society's young leaders' list

A Bangladeshi youth, Mir Nadia Nivin, has been included in the young leaders’ list prepared by the US based non-profit organisation Asia Society.

The organisation which focuses on educating the world about Aisa announced the list called ‘2019 Class of Asia 21 Young Leaders’ recently.

The list named people under the age of 40 from 39 countries across the Asia Pacific region. Scientists, artists, activists, educators, journalists, and social entrepreneurs were among them.

Nadia is a governance and institutional reform specialist with the UNDP Malayasia. She previously served as Head of Governance with UNDP Afghanistan.

She was a lecturer at BRAC University in Bangladesh and worked several years as a journalist. Nadia took higher studies at the Harvard University and California State University in the US.

She was included in the list for her contributions in establishing democratic governance and peace building. The young leaders including Nadia would join a conference on technology and humanity in New York this year.
