Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an anti-narcotics drive at Mohammadpur Geneva Camp detained around 100 people along with various types of drugs on Saturday, reports UNB.
The Geneva Camp is a place of makeshift residences of several thousand stranded Pakistanis.
RAB-2 battalion along with other units, including RAB Intelligence wing and dog squad, started the drive at Geneva camp around 10:30am which lasted for more than two hours, said legal and media wing director of RAB headquarters’ Mufti Mahmood Khan.
He claimed that the elite force members recovered a huge quantity of Yaba pills, hemp and other drugs during the drive.
The exact number of the arrestees and the quantity of illegal drugs would be ascertained later, he said.
