Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained seven people including three physicians for their alleged involvement in medical admission test question paper leak.
Company commander Major Ashraf Ali came up with the disclosure on Tuesday afternoon at a press conference at RAB-13 office.
The detainees are Zillur Hossain Rony, assistant registrar at orthopedic department of Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH), Shariful Islam Antu, assistant registrar at RMCH surgery department; Mostafizur Rahman Pavel, an upazila health official; Manjurul Rahman, managing director of Primate Coaching Centre’s Rangpur branch; Jamil Uddin, an official of AOne Coaching Centre and Sajratul Yadin Rana.
None of the seven has been shown arrested so far, said elite force sources.
Tipped off, a team of RAB-13 launched several drives on Monday and Tuesday to detain the seven for their alleged involvement in the leakage of medical entrance test question papers.
The RAB team conducted the drives after getting information from some guardians, whose children got the leaked question, said RAB-13 sources.
