Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has called on professor Emajuddin Ahamed to withdraw his remarks about the party saying, he has “no right to speak on for the 20-party alliance as he was not appointed the spokesperson of the alliance.”

“He has behaved out of his authority and for which he will have to withdraw his statement. Otherwise, the people will think that he is playing a game of light and darkness in order to implement the agenda of a certain quarter,” said the party’s central executive committee member Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher in a press statement on Tuesday.
He warned Emajuddin Ahamed against making any such remarks in the days to come.

Former vice chancellor of Dhaka University Emajuddin Ahamed on Tuesday claimed that Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia has decided to not keep Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the BNP-led 20-party opposition alliance in “that manner.”
