Nursing student disappears from study tour

A female student disappeared from a study tour in Sonamasjid area of Chapainawabganj district sadar on Sunday afternoon.

The missing girl is Stella Badhon Arko, 21, daughter of one Roben Barikdar, from Kalaroa upazila of Satkhira district. Stella is a student of Christian hospital nursing institute in Rajshahi.

Quoting the institute’s authority, police said some 180 students of the institute went to the excursion early Sunday.

Arko went missing after the lunch session at the historical mosque was over, reports UNB.

Nobody could trace the girl and her cellphone was found switched off since then, police said.

Arko might have a love affair, inspiring her to elope, said, Shibganj police station officer-in-charge Habibul Islam.

“A general dairy was filed in this connection,” he said.
