
Two bogies of an express train running between Dhaka and Sylhet caught fire at Noapara rail station in Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj, suspending the train communications of Sylhet with Dhaka and Chittagong on Friday morning.
No casualty was reported till filing of this report at 11:55am.
Noapara rail station master Moazzem Haque said fire originated from the engine of the Sylhet-bound Parabat Express from Dhaka and soon engulfed two other bogies of the train at around 10 am.
The passengers of the train rushed out from the train.
On information, fire service men from Habiganj and Madhabpur fire service rushed in.
They are trying to douse the flames.
