Jharna Das wins Shishu Academy award

Litterateur Jharna Das Purkayastha has won the Bangladesh Shishu Academy Literary Award for the Bangla year 1421 for her contributions to juvenile literature, said a press release on Monday.
Bangladesh Shishu Academy has been giving away the award since 1989. So far, a total number of 25 litterateurs have own this award.
Jharna Das is famous for her juvenile writing.
Her writings include 'Bhutu o Tuntuner Shawpna', 'Dalir Mam Putul', 'Evaner Kazla Didi', 'Rong Makha Shirt', 'Muskil Asan Mama', 'Tusi Amar Tusi', 'Lalur Muktijuddo', 'Megh Josnar Tupur' and 'Tak Jal Misti Galpo', among others.
Jarna Das Purkayastha was born in 1945.
