PSTU's second convocation tomorrow

Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) is all set to hold its second convocation on Wednesday, reports UNB.

President Abdul Hamid, also the chancellor of university, is scheduled to inaugurate the programme where 3,000 graduates will participate.

The academic, administrative buildings, dormitories and important roads on the campus were decorated with lights for the convocation.

Education minister Dipu Moni will attend the programme as special guest while emeritus professor AK Azad Chowdhury will deliver his speech as the convocation speaker.

This year, some 1,968 students will receive their graduation certificates, 951 post graduation and nine PhD degrees.

Earlier, the registration for the convocation started on 3 December last and concluded on 30 December.

Sixty three graduates will be awarded with Chancellor Gold Medals.
