Vehicular movement on Dhaka-Sylhet highway which remained suspended since Tuesday last resumed on Monday as the authorities concerned opened Brahmanbaria’s Shahbazpur Bridge on the Titas river to traffic after its repair work, reports UNB.

Roads and Highway Department (RHD) deputy divisional engineer Bhuiyan Redwanur Rahman said, "The bridge was opened to traffic in the morning as the repair work has been completed."

The bus services on Dhaka-Sylhet highway remained halted as the bailey bridge collapsed on 18 June.

Meanwhile, Sylhet's rail link with other part of the country remained suspended since Sunday night after a train crash in Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar, leaving five people dead and many injured.
