Chattogram airport’s operation suspended for 14 hours

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has decided to suspend all sorts of operation of Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport from Saturday afternoon as the severe cyclonic storm Bulbul is approaching the coastal areas of Bangladesh, reports BSS.

The suspension will be implemented from 4:00pm and continue to be 6:00am tomorrow.

“We have decided to suspend all operations of Shah Amanat International Airport from 4:00pm today to 6:00am tomorrow due to the storm. But all kind of activities of other airports in the country will remain in operation till further notice,” CAAB member operations air commodore Md. Khalid Hossain told BSS this afternoon.

The CAAB authority will further review the situation after this evening, he added.
