Light rain forecasted in parts of country

Met office on Tuesday forecasted light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, reports BSS.

Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, said a met office release issued for 24-hour commencing this morning.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at some places over the river basins and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning.

Night temperature may fall slightly and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

Trough of westerly low lies over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining area. Ridge of Subcontinental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining area.

Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North-east Bay.

Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 29.2 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature today was 10.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am today was recorded 8 millimetres (mm).
