HC orders to cancel Janata Bank EO recruitment test

The High Court on Thursday asked the authorities concerned to cancel the recruitment test of executive officers of Janata Bank and take fresh exams.

Fifteen candidates filed a writ petition with the HC after the question papers were allegedly leaked. The exam was held on 21 April 2017.

The HC bench of justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury and justice Md Iqbal Kabir passed the order after hearing the writ petition.

Lawyers Jotirmoy Barua and Suprokash Dutta Amit stood in favour of the writ petition while the defence lawyers were Momtaj Uddin Fakir and Mojibur Rahman Samrat.

Amit Dutta told Prothom Alo that the evidence shows the question papers of the written test were leaked.

The court has ordered to cancel the recruitment test and asked the chairman of Bankers’ Selection Committee to take fresh exams soon, he added.
