'82.87pc pass SSC, equivalent exams'

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday inaugurated the proceedings of publishing the results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalents exams of 2020 through video conferencing from her official Ganabhaban residence in the capital.

The rate of pass this year is 82.87 per cent, which was 82.2 per cent last year.

Earlier, the chairmen of education boards handed over the copy of results to education minister Dipu Moni.

Minister Dipu Moni announced the detail results through Facebook live.

The Inter Education Board Coordination Subcommittee said students do not have to go to schools to know the results this year. They will be able to know the results through SMS from any telecom operator.

To get the results through SMS, the students will have to type SSC/Dakhil<space>board name (first three letter)<space>Exam Roll<Space>Year(2020) and send to 16222.

The students also can know their results from the websites of their respective education boards.

A total of 2,040,779 students -- 1,024,363 male and 1,023,416 female -- took part in the SSC and equivalent examinations at 3,512 centres from 28,884 educational institutions.
