Custom intelligence and investigation directorate officials held a man and recovered 1.64 crore of fake Indian rupees from his possession at Hazrat Shahjalal International airport on Sunday morning.

The detained is Khalil Bepari, 36, a resident of Shariyatpur.
He arrived in Dhaka from Karachi via Dubai in an Emirates Airlines plane.

The seized rupees worth Tk 2.6crore.
Custom intelligence and investigation directorate director general Moinul Khan said that the customs officials seized the rupee as after searching his luggage.
