Hanging body of Titumir College student recovered

Police on Saturday recovered the body of a college student who apparently committed suicide by hanging himself at a house in the capital, reports news agency UNB.

The deceased was identified as Md Mojibor Rahman, 23, a student of Finance edpartment at Titumir College, and son of a certain SM Ishaq Mia of Kagoiya village in Laksam upazila of Cumilla.

The lawenforcement recovered the student’s body from a house in the capital's Dakkhin Kamalapur area around 8:00pm, said Saiful Islam, sub-inspector of Motijheel police station.

Mojibor is believed to have posted a suicide note on Facebook before hanging himself from the ceiling fan in his room with a ‘gamchha’ (a type of towel).

Police sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
