2 killed, ex-army chief Aziz’s son injured

Two youths were killed and another one injured in a road accident near Mahakhali Flyover in the capital early Tuesday.

Deceased Umar Aiman, 20, was son of Col (Retd.) Faruk Ahmed while Ahmad Raihan, 20, was son of certain Ilias Ahmed.

Injured was identified as Ishraq Ahmed, son of former chief of Bangladesh Army Gen (Retd.) Aziz Ahmed, a source confirmed Prothom Alo.

Ishraq Ahmed is currently undergoing treatment at Combined Medical Hospital (CMH).

Speaking to Prothom Alo, Anisur Rahman, deputy inspector at Kafrul police station, said a vehicle hit a pillar of Mahakhali Flyover around 5:00am on Tuesday.

No case has been filed in this connection until filing of this report.
