Anjuman Mufidul Islam condoles Latifur Rahman’s death

Non-profit organisation Anjuman Mufidul Islam has expressed profound shock over the death of Transcom Group chairman Latifur Rahman.

“All the members of Anjuman Mufidul Islam join me in conveying our deep condolences at the sad demise of Latifur Rahman, a generous philanthropist,” Anjuman Mufidul Islam president Mufleh R Osmany said in a statement on Thursday.

“He was a noble patron and genuine helper of Anjuman. With his kind help, Anjuman has been able to serve the Etims (orphans) and the ultra-poor,” reads the statement.

The Anjuman president prayed for the acceptance of Latifur Rahman’s good deeds.

“He will reap the immense reward from the generous loan ( Qard e Hasana) he offered to Allah (SWT) by helping the destitute children who are looked after and educated by Anjuman.” Osmany said.

The orphans will offer special prayers for the salvation of the departed soul of Latifur Rahman, the statement reads.

The statement also adds, Latifur Rahman was a very polite, decent and affable personality.

“Those of us who had known him personally will remember him dearly and miss him very much,” according to the Anjuman Mufidul Islam statement.
