Latifur Rahman’s grandson among Gulshan attack dead

Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain, 20, grandson of Transcom group chairman and CEO Latifur Rahman, was among the 28 killed in the deadly terrorist attack on Saturday in capital’s Gulshan.

Faraaz was the son of Simeen Hossain, Eskayef Bangladesh Limited managing director, and Muhammad Waquer Bin Hossain.

Faraaz was completing his undergraduate studies at the Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Latifur Rahman’s family members confirmed the death of Faraaz to the Prothom Alo.

Faraaz went to the restaurant along with his friends.

His namaz-e-janaza will be held on Sunday.

He came to Bangladesh on 18 May for summer vacation. He was scheduled to return on 22 August.

Born on 15 April in 1996, Faraaz was a former student of Sir John Wilson and American International School in Dhaka.
