Regional science fest begins in Mymensingh

The regional phase of the City Bank-Prothom Alo science festival has begun in Mymensingh.
Deputy Commissioner Mustaqim Billah Faruki inaugurated the festival at Shilpokala Academy at 9:00am on Tuesday.
City Bank Mymensingh branch manager Md Abdullah Al Hossain and Prothom Alo youth programme and science festival coordinator Munir Hasan were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Mustaqim Billah Faruki said science-minded people can build a new Bangladesh.
About 500 students of Mymensign, Netrakona, Sherpur, and Jamalpur joined the festival.
Winners of the regional competitions will participate in the national level competition which will be held in Dhaka while winners at the national level competition will be patronised to attend the international science festival.
