The giant German carmaker BMW is going to recall a total of 156,000 vehicles in the United States to check for bolts defects, reports BBC
The move follows by the similar actions of the car manufacturers around the world.
BBC report says that BMW would check whether bolts in vehicles with six-cylinder engines were vulnerable to prompt any accident.
With the company's 1.47% shares falling in Frankfurt, it is going to recall the vehicles, which include the Series 5 and the Z4 sports cars, from model years 2010 to 2012, the company said.
BMW recalled 232,000 cars in China earlier this month for the same reason.
Earlier the US authorities have fined General Motors for failing to respond to requests for information about faulty ignition switches linked to 13 deaths.
