A total of five films are scheduled to release in more than 300 theatres on Eid across the country. The movies are ‘Poramon 2’, ‘Chittagainga Poa Noakhailla Maiya’, ‘Super Hero’, ‘Panku Jamai’ and ‘Kamola Rocket’.
Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan is starring in three of the five films. Bubli has paired up with Shakib in ‘Chittagainga Poa Noakhailla Maiya’ and ‘Super Hero’ while Apu Biswas, the actor’s ex-wife’ will be seen opposite of him in ‘Panku Jamai’.
The director of ‘Poramon 2’, starring Siyam and Puja Cherry, Abdul Aziz Jaaz said, the movie would be screened in 22 leading cinema halls including Blockbuster Cinemas, Star Cineplex, Balaka and Shyamoli Cinema .
“We are planning to release the movie in more halls in the second week of release,” added Abdul Aziz.
‘Panku Jamai’ has been scheduled to release in 40 cinema halls so far. The director of the film said twenty more cinema halls were likely to be confirmed by Friday evening.
‘Super Hero’ has got the censor board approval on Thursday. Director of the movie Taposhi Faruque said the movie would be released in around 100 cinema halls.
‘Super Hero’ could have been released in 50 more halls if it had got the censor board approval earlier as there were appeal for the story, she claimed.
‘Chittagoninga Poa Noakhailla Maiya’ would be released in most number of halls. Director of the film Selim Khan said, they booked 140 halls but the number may increase before Eid.
The Eid telefilm ‘Kamola Rocket’ starring Tauqir Ahmed, Mosharraf Karim is scheduled to release in three theatres in Dhaka.
The telefilms has been directed by Noor Imran Mithu.
