Nusrat Faria, one of the prominent faces of cinema in Bangladesh and across the border in India, has made her appearance opposite Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan for the first time in the film ‘Shahenshah’ directed by Shamim Ahmed Roni.
The actress started shooting for the film officially on 5 November. She also has been working in a Tollywood film.
The big screen sizzling actress is also planning another music video after her controversial and much talked previous song ‘Pataka’.
Nusrat Faria in an exclusive interview with Prothom Alo has shared about her acting, career and many other things.
Excerpts of her interview:
Prothom Alo: How was it working with Shakib Khan for the first time?
Nusrat: Shakib Khan is a popular actor. He is very helpful. I was very comfortable while working with him.
Shakib always inspires and insists his co-actors work in local movies.
I heard him saying, only our generation can lift up our industry. I liked his way of thinking.
Prothom Alo: How long will the shooting run?
Nusrat: My part will complete this November. I will start shooting for another film in December. I asked the production house to complete my part by non-stop shooting. Shooting continuously also boosts the quality of the film.
Prothom Alo: What is the name of the other film?
Nusrat: It’s a Tollywood film, ‘D for Dance’. I will appear opposite Ankush in it. The shooting for the film will possibly begin in December. The film is directed by Baba Yadav.
Prothom Alo: What’s next after Pataka?
Nusrat: I am planning. I team that works for me is working on it. Hopefully, we can start working from January or February next year. It will be music video. Baba Yadav could possibly direct it. The song will be released both in India and Bangladesh in cooperation with SVF production house.
Prothom Alo: You have made your comeback by hosting a programme “Ma vs Bou’ after a long break. Will you continue?
Nusrat: Its hard to host on a regular basis after working for the big screen. I am not regular. I try to work when the idea is really good.
Prothom Alo: #Me too has become talk of the town now. Did you ever experience any such incident?
Nusrat: Its not like it never happened with me. But you are responsible for your own security. Whenever I sensed anything unusual, I decided not to work in that particular film or programme.
Prothom Alo: Did any of your co-actress share anything with you of being victim of sexual misconduct?
Nusrat: Yes, few of them. I always tried to comfort them as best as I could.
Prothom Alo: How many marks do you want to give Shakib Khan on a scale of 1 to 10?
Nusrat: I don’t know much about him. I think I’ll give him 9 on 10.
Prothom Alo: What’s your alternate career choice?
Nusrat: I am a law student. I will do something related to that if I quit acting ever.
Prothom Alo: What’s your favourite- acting or hosting?
Nusrat: Hosting, for sure.
