Nazrul Sangeet exponent Shamshy Faruque Shimky enthralled the audience on Tuesday evening in her first solo musical performance.
Organised at Dipanpur Book cafe in Dhaka, the event marked the comeback of the artiste after two decades from hiatus.
Mashfiqus Salehin welcomed the audience while eminent Nazrul exponent Sadya Afreen Mallick, Sujit Mostofa and Yasmin Mushtari were present.
Being one of the top graded Nazrul singers in 1980s and early 1990s, she left the country to start a new life in the United Kingdom. She now lives in Manchester with her husband and two daughters and serving as a human resource consultant at the National Health Service of the UK.
Shinmky had regularly performed in Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Radio programmes in those days.
