Tele Samad critically ill

Comedian Tele Samad admitted to Dhaka's Sqaure Hospital, as he fell critically ill on Friday evening.
He has been kept at Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital.

Doctor Kamal Pasha told Prothom Alo on Monday afternoon, "Tele Samad was admitted to the hospital after he had a cardiac attack. He is also suffering from several physical complications. He has to go through a surgery. Nothing can be said about his physical condition before the surgery."

Tele Samad stepped on the silver screen with film "Kar Bou" in 1973. He became popular among the audiences through an Amzad Hossain film "Nayanermoni".

Beside TV, film and stage performances, the comedian also contributed to Bangla music.

The artiste was born in Bikrompur on 8 January 1945.
