Amjad Hossain buried in Jamalpur

Filmmaker Amjad Hossain was laid to eternal rest at his hometown in Sadar upazila of Jamalpur on Sunday, reports UNB.

Amjad Hossain was buried at Jamalpur municipality graveyard beside the graves of his parents following a namaz-e-janaza, held at Jamalpur High School ground around 10:00am.

People from all walks of life attended the janaza and paid their last respects to Amjad Hossain.

Earlier, his body was taken to his Iqbalpur residence in the district town on Saturday night.

Hundreds of people from all walks of life paid their last tributes to the noted film director at the central Shaheed Minar on Saturday.

The body of Amjad Hossain was brought back home from Bangkok on Friday evening.

The veteran director breathed his last at Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok on 14 December.
