Prime Bank South Zone emerged champions in the Bangladesh Cricket League beating Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) North Zone by 131 runs in the final held on Tuesday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Chasing a massive winning target of 573 runs, North Zone resumed their second innings on the fifth and final day (Tuesday) and finally dismissed at 359 in 87.4 overs.

The only highlight of North Zone's innings was overnight batsman Farhad Hossain fighting century. The top order batsman played an impressive 219-ball off 129-run hitting 17 boundaries.

Left hand spinner Abdur Razzak grabbed six wickets conceding 102 runs, he was well supported by Al Amin captured two wickets giving away 81 runs.

Imrul Kayes of South Zone was named the player of the match for his impressive double hundred while Taijul Islam of BCB North

Zone adjudged the player of the tournament.

2nd innings - 359 for all in 87.4 overs, Farhad 129, Nasir 67, Junaid 51, Razzak 6/102 and Al Amin 2/81.
