The remaining exams of Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent certification this year have been cancelled in the face of demonstrations.
The process of preparing the results will be decided later, said Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, chairman professor Tapan Kumar Sarker Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, the students were demonstrating at the secretariat demanding that the postponed HSC and equivalents exams not be taken and ‘auto-pass’ in the exams.
The demonstrating students have demanded that the results be prepared based on the results of the exams held until the job quota reform movement of Students Against Discrimination and mapping with the results of equivalent subjects in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC).
On Monday, the demonstrating students laid siege to the office of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka to press home the demand.
