Guardians demand protection of Dholairpar High School playground

Guardians have demanded the government take steps for saving the playground of Dholairpar High School from 'land grabbers', reports UNB.

In a memorandum submitted to deputy commissioner (DC) of Dhaka on 25 September, they said the managing committee of the school has taken a move to construct a building at the playground of the institution ignoring the prime minister's directive in this regard.

The memorandum signed by Nazrul Islam, a freedom fighter commander and former chairman of school managing committee, mentioned that the same people had earlier made a similar move in 2015. But amid resistance from local people, they could not be successful in constructing building on the playground.
