18 additional DIGs promoted

Eighteen Additional Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) of the police have been promoted to the rank of DIG.
The Home Ministry issued an order in this regard on Sunday, reports news agency UNB.
The newly promoted police officers are DIG (Current Charge) of the Police Headquarters Md Lutfar Rahman Mondal, Additional Police Commissioner (Current Charge) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mohammad Ibrahim Fatemi, DIG (Current Charge) of Railway Range SM Ruhul Amin, DIG (Current Charge) Highway Police Mallik Fakhrul Islam, DIG (Current Charge) Sylhet Range Mizanur Rahman, Police Commissioner (Current Charge) of SMP Md Kamrul Ahsan, Additional DIG of Special Branch Md Mazharul Islam, Additional DIG (Dhaka Range) Khandker Golam Faruk, Joint Commissioner of DMP Md Didar Ahmed and Joint Commissioner of DMP Jamil Ahmed.
The promoted police officers also include DIG (Current Charge) of the Police Headquarters Md Atiqul Islam, its Additional DIG M Khurshid Hossain, Additional Police Commissioner of CMP AKM Shahidur Rahman,
Additional DIG (Rajshahi Range) Md Abdullah Al Mahmud, Additional DIG (Dhaka Range) Md Shafiqul Islam, Additional Commissioner of SMP Banaz Kumar Mozumder, Additional DIG of the Police Headquarters Golam Kibria and Joint Commissioner (DB) of DMP Md Monirul Islam.
