Abdullah Abu Sayeed gets IFIC Lifetime Honour

Prolific writer and the founder of ‘Bishwa Sahitya Kendra’, professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, has been conferred with IFIC Lifetime Honour on Thursday.

Professor Sayeed, also known as ‘the creator of enlightened persons’ was handed over a cheque of Tk 4 million and a crest by finance minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhith at a simple ceremony at the head office of IFIC Bank in Dhaka.

Muhith termed the ‘Bishwa Sahitya Kendra’ as ‘A world of excellence’, and the credit for that goes to professor Sayeed. Professor Abu Sayeed requested the wealthy to help creative people of the country.

Poet Asim Saha and novelist Wasi Ahmed were given IFIC Literature Award 2015.
