The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched a probe against additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sheikh Hemayet Hossain for his alleged forgery in taking freedom fighter (FF) certificate.
The Commission has already appointed a deputy director to conduct the probe into the allegation, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB on Thursday.
There is an allegation that Hemayet Hossain is enjoying all the facilities the government gives to the freedom fighters through a ‘fake’ FF certificate or a certificate that was not issued maintaining proper government procedure’.
ACC inquiry officer and deputy director Zulfikar Ali told reporters that as the Commission directed him to carry out a probe into the allegation and he will start work soon.
