Baton charge on Gonojagoron activists, 7 held

Gonojagoron activists have been baton charged by police on Friday at Shahbagh intersection in the capital as the organisation tired to hold a rally at the place.

Police did not permit for holding any public gathering at Shahbagh on Friday as two organisations, Gonojagoron Moncho and Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command, wanted to hold rally there.

The law enforcers held seven people from the place.

An injured activist of Gonojagoron Moncho has been taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Earlier on Thursday, a clash broke out between activists of these two organisations who blamed each other for instigating clash.
