Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday said the CNG stations across the country will remain open for 24 hours for 13 days to ensure hassle-free journey for the Eid holiday makers.
“CNG stations will remain operational nonstop for seven days before and five days after the Eid. The authorities concerned have already been asked to take necessary steps to implement the decision,” he said at a meeting.
The movement of heavy vehicles will remain suspended for three days before the Eid, the minister said, adding but vehicles carrying essential goods, garments and medicines will ply on the streets as usual.
The Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be celebrated on 5 June subject to moon sighting.
