College student killed in road crash

A college student was killed and two others were injured in a road accident at Kashimpur in Nawabganj upazila, Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Badhan, 19, son of certain Wahidur of Agala village in the upazila. He was an 11th grader of Government Dohar-Nawabganj College.

Sub Inspector Moshiur Rahman of Nawabganj Police Station, said Badhan along with his friend Rahat was returning home by a motorcycle in the afternoon.

The accident took place in front of Pilot Higher Secondary Girls' School when the motorbike overturned after he lost control, leaving the duo and a pedestrian injured.

Later, locals rushed them to Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, the SI added.
