Shahadat, wife acquitted in domestic help torture case

A Dhaka court on Sunday acquitted cricketer Shahadat Hossain and his wife in a domestic help torture case.

Judge of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-5 Tanzina Ismail passed the order.

On 29 December, police submitted a charge sheet against Shahadat Hossain and his wife Jasmine Jahan for allegedly torturing an 11-year-old domestic help, Mahfuza Akhtar Happy.
