
Former deputy speaker of the national parliament and also a BNP leader Akhtar Hamid Siddiqui dies at a hospital in Dhaka on Sunday noon. He was 71.
BNP chairperson’s press wing member Sayrul Kabir said Akhtar Hamid breathed his last at United Hospital in Dhaka around 12:15pm.
The first namaz-e-janaza of the BNP leader will be held after Asr prayers in front of BNP’s Naya Paltan central office, said Sayrul Kabir.
BNP’s press wing member also said that the second namaz-e-janaza of Akhtar Hamid will be held on the south plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad on Monday morning.
Akhtar Hamid’s body will be then taken to his home in Naogaon. He will be buried in his family graveyard after the third namaz-e-janaza.
