Search engine giant Google has come up with a new doodle on its homepage, marking the Independence Day of Bangladesh on 26 March, reports UNB.
Today’s Doodle commemorates the day with a depiction of the Bangladesh flag waving proudly over the landscape. It is designed in combination of red and green colours, the colours of the national flag.
Google marks many special occasions with customised doodles (it changes its logo on the search engine’s homepage to reflect the occasion).
The nation is celebrating the 48th Independence and National Day with due respect on Monday.
In its message, Google said 47 years ago today, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared long-sought-after independence, marking the birth of the new nation.
“Today, Bangladeshi people will celebrate the history and traditions of their country with parades, ceremonies, and music, all set against a backdrop festooned with decorations by day and lit up with the national colours by night,” it added.
Google wishes Bangladeshis saying “Happy Independence Day, Bangladesh!”
