BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday visited the grave of her younger son Arafat Rahman Koko at Banani Graveyard and offered fateha.
The BNP chief visited Koko’s grave after 70 days of his burial.
Khaleda was in tears while offering fateha at Koko's grave.
On 24 January, Arafat Rahman Koko died of cardiac arrest at the age of 45 at his rented house in Malaysia.
His body was taken home on 27 January and buried at Banani Graveyard after a namaz-e-janaza at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque the same day.
At that time, Khaleda was staying at her Gulshan office where she had had the glimpse of her son for the last time.
The BNP leader returned to her Gulshan residence on Sunday after nearly 92 days.
BNP standing committee members Moudud Ahmed, Jamiruddin Sircar, Abdul Moyeen Khan and Mahbubur Rahman, the chairperson's advisors Khandakar Mahbub Hossain and Sabih Uddin Ahmed and vice chairman Selima Rahman were also present.
The leaders and activists of the BNP gathered there and created a chaotic situation in the graveyard during BNP chief's visit.
Meanwhile, Jatiya Party leader Kazi Zafar Ahmed paid a visit to the BNP chairperson at her Gulshan residence in the afternoon.
Sources in the party said Kazi Zafar met Khaleda Zia as he is scheduled to go abroad for his treatment within a few days.
